Charlie Murphy is heading back to paradise, nearly two years to the day after his Hawaii stand-up debut at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
Eddie Murphy’s older brother is taking his show to the Hawaii Theatre this time around, with a single performance on June 8. Then he’ll jump on a plane to Maui for another show June 10 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.
You might not have seen Murphy in front of a camera a lot lately, but his voice has been prominently featured on television and radio. He’s voiced commercials for Budweiser, and has a role on the animated series “The Boondocks.”
Tickets for the Oahu show go on sale Saturday, and are priced at $35 and $45 (plus a $2 restoration fee). Maui tickets go on sale the same day, but are priced at $30 and $40. Call (808) 242-SHOW to order by phone for that performance.
