Sorry about the lack of quality updates lately.
I was sick most of last week, but still managed to crank out my column and keep the daily picks coming, so I hope I didn’t leave anyone hanging when it came to going out last weekend.
To help make it up to everyone, here are some scoops on upcoming concerts that are coming to Pipeline Cafe.
First up is a show that was officially announced this morning – Bad Religion (pictured) will play the club on Nov. 16. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday, priced at $28 general admission and $75 VIP.
I’ve also received word that R&B crooners K-Ci and Jojo will be at the club the night before (Nov. 15).
And on Oct. 20, local radio station 102.7 Da Bomb presents “Bomb Birthday 7″ with performances by Pitbull, Collie Buddz, Che’nelle and former Hawaii radio personality Jimmy Da Geek.
If you didn’t know, Jimmy is the person responsible for “Talk Like a Pinoy” and “Local Girls,” two parody songs that have enjoyed heavy rotation on the station in recent weeks.
Tickets for the birthday party where the guests score all the prizes go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday as well.
And if you’ve been sleeping on my latest column, hip-hop heavyweight Nas will be at Pipeline on Oct. 27.
