There’s a lot of stuff going on Friday, but I’m still going to try my best to get to Red Lion University for Missing Dave’s eighth anniversary party.
Singer Daena Dempsey and guitarist Keith Monzen, pictured above, and the rest of the band will be joined on stage by Pimpbot, LoveChile and Busekrus starting at 8 p.m.
Besides the live sets, Missing Dave will debut the music video for their single, “Bratislavan Nightmare,” and will also give away a limited amount of DVD copies to people in the bar.
Show up for the celebration and you’ll also have a chance to walk out with a CD single of “Call Me,” a cover of the classic Blondie tune featuring guest appearances by members of Pimpbot, LoveChile and Busekrus.
Anyone else want to bet that “Call Me” will be one of the songs on tomorrow’s set list?
You won’t have to wait until then to hear it, however. My thanks to Missing Dave for letting me share the song with all of you here.
