Panya Bakery 10-Year Anniversary [PICS]

That was the scene outside Panya Bistro yesterday, as Panya Bakery celebrated it’s 10-year anniversary with a benefit for Shriners Hospital for Children.
With a hosted bar and heavy pupus, it was a given that the Ala Moana restaurant and bar would be packed. People were elbow-to-elbow inside, drinking martinis and enjoying live entertainment by Hot Rain, Inoa’ole and Fiji.
It took me a while, but I was able to corner Annie and Alice Yeung, the sisters who started everything back in 1997:
I also spotted their parents inside, ensconced in a booth near the kitchen.
Back outside, Shriners Douglas Nakamura, Richard Cho and Terry Darby Sr. were enjoying the sights and talking story:
I got to say hello to Kayko Tamaki, the Don K-Won and Beejay Q near the front door:
And after what seems like forever, I finally ran into Traci Toguchi! She was hanging out at a table with Mrs. Hawaii 2007 Nadine Wise:
Before leaving the mall, I took a walk down to the Apple Store. I don’t have $600 laying around (and I don’t want to sign up with AT&T, either), but it was SO NECESSARY to make a stop.
Are you ready for the iPhone?
