Not sure if he’s staying for Christmas, but former Hawaii resident Paul Ogata returns for a holiday show on Dec. 14 at Pipeline Cafe.
“This is pretty last minute, and the bigger venues were taken already,” Ogata writes via e-mail. “But it does make it sort of a double homecoming for me, since I’ve done a bunch of shows at Pipeline, including my ‘One-Night Farewell Tour’ two years ago.”
He’ll be joined at Pipeline by Kento and Dave Hisaka; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, and will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Hope you’ve got some extra money, with tickets for the Police going on sale the same day…
And you know how Ogata moved to Hollywood for a shot at bigger and better opportunities? It’s already paid off.
Sort of.
“I am involved in a movie project that I’ll be doing before I get back home,” writes Ogata. “It also features adult movie superstars Ron Jeremy, Tera Patrick and Marilyn Chambers.”
“‘Interesting’ doesn’t even begin to describe it.”
Hmm.
