Loading ...The Police Coming to Honolulu?

A loyal Star-Bulletin reader provided this tip:
“My friend heard on the radio (KPOI) that The Police will tour Japan then come to Honolulu … can you verify this?”
My sources confirm that KPOI afternoon jock Dave Lawrence did indeed mention a possible spring show.
However, a representative for Tom Moffatt, the local promoter most likely to have a hand in making the concert happen, said Moffatt had “no comment” when asked to confirm a deal to bring the band to Oahu.
Give this one a few more days, if not longer.
But it just might happen.

I heard Hudson on Star 101.9 state this morning (11/26/07), that The Police were coming in February 2008 and that tickets go on sale this coming December 1, 2007. I already went to the official Police site, they had no current info about Honolulu, etc…so wat’s the deal, they comin or not? I did see them at Aloha Stadium during The Synchronisity Tour-it waz the best! Would love to see them now…:)

I know you can’t answer this cuz you are too young. Anyway I remember a band called The Police playing at Hemenway Hall (UH Manoa). I think they even had a singer called Johnny Rotten with them. Is this the same guys?
