NEW GEAR TO FIGHT FIRES: The Honolulu Fire Department dedicated seven new pumpers for fighting fires and four new personal watercraft for ocean rescue missions yesterday at the Fire Department Headquarters in Honolulu. Here, kahu Curt Kekuna, right, blessed Simeon Pihana and the firetruck from Station 16 in Wahiawa. Kekuna blessed each firetruck, the watercraft, firefighters and others responsible for the equipment.
