"LAST SATURDAY" EVENING ART PARTY AT PETER LIK WAIKIKI | Darrel Teelucksingh, wearing baseball cap, and his wife, Tiffany, brought their sons, Kai, front left, and Colby, to the "Last Saturday" party at Peter Lik Waikiki. The couple are collectors of Lik's work -- including the "Sacred Sunrise" piece behind them. Art consultant Nicholas Van de Berg, left, and gallery manager Rama Smith welcomed them to the party.
"NAT NO KA OI!" | Natalie Ai Kamauu brought her whole family -- parents, husband, brother, sister and kids -- to her "Na Mele No Ka Pua" concert Sunday afternoon at the Embassy Suites Grand Lanai. The all-family show was superb entertainment, and "Nat" made it clear she deserved her win as Female Vocalist of the Year at the Hoku Awards last month.
LAO ART AT UH | Master weaver Dalounny Phonsouny gave John Wythe White and Victoria Gail-White insights on Laotian culture at the opening reception for "Cosmic Creatures: Textiles from Northeast Lao Communities" Sunday at the East-West Center.
TROPICS BAR & GRILL OPENS BIG AT HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE! | Hilton Hawaii Area Vice President Jerry Gibson, second from left, celebrated the grand opening of the Tropics Bar & Grill with a four-hour party for 500 last Friday at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Kili Perkins, left, and Anela Cook added to the exotic ambiance of the event; Justin Yoshino and Shanna Hulme handled the planning. Cecilio & Kapono capped the night with a 75-minute concert. NA 'AUAO OPENS 'MOONLIGHT MELE' | Sean Na'auao, left, and Kaumakaiwa Kanaka'ole talked story with Hawaiian music fans Kanoe Pedrina, second from left, and Pomaika'i Lovell after Na'auao's "Moonlight Mele" concert June 25 at Bishop Museum.
