COLORS OF FUN. Seven-year-old Sierra Hisatake worked on decorating her pumpkin yesterday during Bank of Hawaii's "Orange you glad to see me?" family event yesterday at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
SCARECROW STUDIES. University of Hawaii fashion student Devon Hughes put the finishing touches on her scarecrow Saturday during the inaugural Harvest Festival at Ward Warehouse. One of the main attractions was a design contest by UH-Manoa students, during which 20 teams from the Apparel Product Design and Merchandising Program constructed and displayed their own scarecrows using products found at the shopping complexes' stores and restaurants, with patrons voting on their favorites. The winning teams were awarded scholarships.
