TOGETHER IN THANKS: Curiosity brought 2-year-old Reanna David into the aisle for a peek yesterday during an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at Central Union Church. The service featured songs sung by the Honolulu Boy Choir and had different religions joining in prayers and song. Among the presiders were Central Union Pastor Larry Corbett, Rabbi Peter Schaktman of Temple Emanu-El, the Rev. Liz Beasley of the Episcopal St. Andrew’s Cathedral and Robert Lloyd of Kailua Seventh-day Adventist.ᕎ

Hawaii high-schoolers dance in New York: The Polynesian Dance Ensemble of Hawaii performed yesterday in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The 150 dancers, under the direction of John Riggle and Iwalani Tseu, danced to “Hawaiian War Chant,” as recorded specifically for the parade by Na Leo Pilimehana. Dancers were nominated and selected from high schools on each of the islands. Twenty male conch-shell blowers also performed with the troupe.
