Valentine Card Contest winners announced

Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center's fifth annual Valentine Card Contest recognized these winners for producing the Most Creative Card:

First place: Boris Garcia of Benjamin Parker Elementary School, under 8 years old; Jaida Johnson of Ahuimanu Elementary School, 8 to 12; and Haley Palma-Hepton, St. Mark Lutheran School-Kaneohe, 13 to 18.

Second place: Vincent Nguyen of St. Ann's School, under 8; Micah Mori of Heeia Elementary School, 8 to 12; and Kristine Kawakami of Castle High School, 13-18.

Third place: Adrienne Kaneshiro of Kapunahala Elementary School, under 8; Austin Montgomery of Puohala Elementary School, 8-12; and Lia Medeiras of King Intermediate School, 13-18.

Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel promoted Dawn T. Sugihara to partner in the firm's litigation group from associate. She joined the firm in 2001 and has experience in product liability, premises liability, medical malpractice claims and business disputes involving tax-exempt organizations.

She also serves on the board of Hawaii Mothers' Milk and is a member of the Defense Research Institute's Trial Tactics and Techniques Section.
