The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, carrying about 6,000 Navy personnel, and its support ships are scheduled to arrive in Pearl Harbor this morning for a brief visit.

The Ronald Reagan recently spent two months with the 5th Fleet supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, counter-piracy operations off Somalia and the Horn of Africa, and security operations in the northern Arabian Gulf.

The Navy said the carrier is home to 80 combat aircraft and is capable of distilling 400,000 gallons of fresh water from sea water daily, enough to provide water to 2,000 homes.
