Near drowning reported in Waikiki

Woman in her 50s found floating face down near Kuhio Beach

Honolulu paramedics and lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a woman in her 50s who was found floating face down in ocean near Kuhio Beach this morning at about 11 a.m., a city spokesman said.

Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said the woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
