At about 12:45 a.m. today, a patrol officer spotted the vehicle in Manoa and chased the suspect who sped off. Police said he lost control and struck a telephone pole on the corner of Manoa Road and Nehoa Street.
Police arrested the teenager on suspicion of two counts of auto theft, two counts of reckless driving, second-degree robbery and three outstanding arrest warrants.
A 53-year-old male passenger was arrested on suspicion of second-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
