Oahu condo sales tumble 50 percent

The median resale price for homes improved in February over the previous month but were down 8.2 percent from a year ago

While Oahu's real estate market saw the median resale price of homes improve slightly last month from January, the median resale price of both homes and condominiums are still trending below last year's level.

Oahu's real estate market saw sales of single homes fall by 20.9 percent and condominiums fall by 50.2 percent in February from the year prior.

More than half of Oahu's single-family homes sold for at least $555,000 which represented an increase of 2.9 percent over the prior month and an 8.2 percent drop from the prior year. Likewise, the median price paid for a condo fell 2.6 percent from January to $297,000, an 11.3 percent drop from the prior year.
