Wie shoots third-round 68 at Corning Classic; trails by 9

Honolulu's Michelle Wie shot a 4-under 68 today at the LPGA Corning Classic in Corning, N.Y., to drop to 8-under 208 for the tournament.

The Stanford University sophomore is tied for 39th. She trails third-round leaders Mika Miyazato and oo-Yun Kang by nine shots.

Wie carded six birdies and two bogeys. The Punahou School graduate hit seven fairways, 15 greens in regulation and needed 30 putts for her round. For the tournament, she is averaging 284.83 yards off the tee.
