Former Oahu residents Dean Wilson and Parker McLachlin continued their struggles this season after both missed the cut at today's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

Despite a hole-in-one yesterday, Wilson missed the cutline of even-par 144 by a single shot. He followed his 2-under 68 in the opening round with a 3-over 73 today. Six years ago, he was partnered with Annika Sorenstam in this Fort Worth, Texas, tournament as she tried to make the cut in a PGA Tour event.

Today, he carded one birdie, two bogeys and one double bogey as Wilson began his round on the back nine. He shot a 38 going out and a 35 coming in with nine consecutive pars.

McLachlin got a little TV time on the Golf Channel when he holed a near impossible shot from the rough off the 18th green for birdie. It dropped him to 2 under for his round and even for the tournament.

Like Wilson, he started his second round on the back nine, but unlike the former Kaneohe resident, the Punahou School grad didn't fare as well. He carded back-to-back bogeys at Nos. 5 and 6 before posting a nine at the par-4 ninth to seal his fate. He shot a 5-over 75 today for a two-day total of 7-over 147.

Second-round leader Steve Stricker fashioned his second consecutive 63 for Colonial-record 14-under 126. He leads Vijay Singh (64) and Tim Clark (65) by two shots.
