Honolulu's Stephanie Kono was eliminated in the Round of 16 today in the U.S. Women's Public Links championship today in Devens, Mass.
Kono, an incoming sophomore at UCLA, fell to Jisoo Park of Korea 1-up at the Red Tail Golf course. Kono won her Round of 32 match earlier today 2 and 1 over Tiffany Lua of California.
Former Big Island resident Kimberly Kim won both her matches today of Canadians 2 and 1. She defeated Carolina Kim this morning and Sara-Maude Juneau this afternoon.
Kim, now living in Arizona, faces Sun Gyoung Park of Arizona in tomorrow's quarterfinals.
