Former Big Island resident Kimberly Kim won both of her matches today at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship to advance to tomorrow's championship.
Kim, who still lists Hilo as her hometown, defeated Sun Gyoung Park of Arizona 6 and 5 in the quarterfinals at Red Tail Golf Club. She then defeated Joanna Coe of New Jersey in the afternoon semifinals 4 and 3.
Kim will face Jennifer Song of California tomorrow for the title.
