Another honor of UH freshman baseball player Wong

Hawaii outfielder Kolten Wong was named to the Rivals.com Freshman All-America today, his fifth freshman All-America honor. this season
The Hilo native also was recognized on the Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America, Ping! and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association teams. He was the Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and earned first-team all-WAC honors as well.
Wong started all 58 games for the Rainbows this past season in center field, batting .341 with 11 home runs, 21 doubles, two triples, 52 RBI, 46 runs and 11 stolen bases.
The Kamehameha-Hawaii graduate is currently playing with the United States national team. Wong started for Team USA at second base in yesterday’s 15-1 win over Guatemala.
