Body found at bottom of Kauai waterfall

Kauai police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old Lihue man found today at the bottom of Opaekaa Falls.
Authorities have not yet identified the man.
A Kauai news release said the man’s body was found by two visitors hiking in the area about 10:15 a.m. A fire helicopter lifted the man to a nearby park from where he was taken to Wilcox Hospital.
