Sean Maekawa, Hawaii's last remaining golfer, was eliminated in today's round of 16 at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at Norman, Okla.
Maekawa, of Paauilo, lost to Eddie Olson of Aptos, Calif., 2 and 1. The Honokaa graduate had advanced out of the round of 32 with a 3 and 2 win over Lion Kim of Ann Arbor, Mich., earlier today.
