Minor earthquake hits Big Island

VOLCANO, Hawaii >>A minor earthquake has rattled the south flank of Kilauea volcano.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.0-magnitude temblor struck Thursday night about 8 miles southeast of the summit.
The survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory says it hit about 6 miles below the surface.
No one reported feeling it on the survey’s Web site.
