Brian Viloria of Waipahu won a 12-round unanimous decision over Jesus Iribe of Culiacan, Mexico to successfully defend his IBF light flyweight world championship today at the Blaisdell Arena.
Viloria built a lead with scoring combinations as the aggressor in the early rounds, and held on as Iribe attempted a late charge.
Around 4,500 attended the first world title fight in Hawaii since 1976.
