Firefighters made two ocean rescues today involving scuba divers at Maunalua Bay and Lanai Lookout, said Honolulu Fire Capt. Terry Seelig.
About 10:10 a.m., a distressed diver, a woman in her mid-20s, brought back to shore aboard the dive boat, Sea Fox in Maunalua Bay
Firefighters escorted Sea Fox into Hawaii Kai Marina and transferred the woman to paramedics in unknown condition.
About an hour later, firefighters responded to three scuba divers in distress offshore of Lanai Lookout. A fire helicopter picked up a man and a woman in their 20s and brought them back to shore. The third diver, a man also in his 20s, climbed onto a ledge and didn’t need assistance.
