Two Honolulu motorcycle officers were treated and released from a hospital today after they were involved in a collision this morning.
At about 10:15 a.m., the first solo bike officer put his motorcycle down to avoid hitting a vehicle when a second officer collided into the first officer. The accident occurred near Nimitz Highway and Valkenburgh Street, according to Honolulu Police Department spokeswoman Michelle Yu.
Bryan Cheplic, spokesman of the city Emergency Services Department, said a man who appeared to be in his 30s was taken to a trauma center in serious condition. Another patient was taken in stable condition.
