CVS acquires Moiliili and Ewa Beach Star Markets from Times
The Rhode Island company also buys Star's pharmacy business on Maui

CVS Caremark Corp., confirming longstanding rumors, said today its retail division, CVS/pharmacy, has acquired the Moiliili and Ewa Beach Star Market locations from Times Supermarket.
The Woonsocket, R.I.-based company said it intends to open a Longs Drugs store in both locations, and also has acquired the pharmacy business from Star Market's Kihei location.
Times recently acquired the state's seven Star Markets locations.
CVS said the Star Market at 91-919 Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach will be renovated and remodeled into a Longs store which is scheduled to open in the second half of 2010. The Star Market at 2470 South King St in Honolulu will be renovated and remodeled into a Longs store which is scheduled to open in the next 18 to 24 months. It will replace the existing nearby Longs store located at 2220 South King St.
