Midnight madness when UH hoops hosts Idaho State

ESPN and the University of Hawaii announced yesterday the UH men's basketball Nov. 17 home game against Idaho State will be televised on the network's flagship channel as part of its all-day College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.
But Hawaii fans will have to stay up late for the 11 p.m. tip-off (Hawaii time) as the game is just the third of 14 throughout Nov. 18 on the mainland -- on at 4 a.m. Eastern time the morning of Nov. 18.
The selection brings the Rainbow Warriors' national TV appearances to two with their Western Athletic Conference game at Fresno State on Feb. 19, with the possibility of another game in ESPN's annual BracketBusters event Feb. 21 at home.
The Bulldogs are also participating in the marathon against St. Mary's prior to the Hawaii game. Kentucky and North Carolina match up in the most touted game of the day as the winningest programs in the country at 3 p.m. Hawaii time.
All games on ESPN and ESPN2 throughout the day will be simulcast online at ESPN360.com.
The games will span five time zones and feature teams from 14 conferences. Four of the games are preseason NIT regional finals.
The last nationally televised game at the Stan Sheriff Center was a BracketBusters match against Wisconsin-Milwaukee on ESPN2 in 2005, which Hawaii lost 87-81.
Hawaii also finalized arrangements for two exhibition games scheduled against Pacific West Conference opponents Hawaii-Hilo and Chaminade, on Nov. 2 and 7, respectively, at the Stan Sheriff Center.
