In the senior division, Leland Lindsay sits atop the leaderboard after shooting a first-round 5-under 67. Punahou sophomore Cyd Okino and 11-year-old Allisen Corpuz both shot first-round scores of even-par 72 to lead the women's division.
Second-round tee times begin today at 7 a.m.
The 6-foot-4 senior is a 2008 Star-Bulletin Fab 15 selection and led the Warriors to the state volleyball tournament the last two years.
Kaaa is the seventh player from Hawaii to sign with the Cardinal, joining Kawika and Erik Shoji, Spencer McLachlin, Max Halvorson, Jordan Inafuku and Brad Lawson.
